Abstract

La cubierta vegetal detiene o amortigua la velocidad con la que caen las de agua al suelo, por lo cual mientras más densa sea la cubierta vegetal, mayor volumen de lluvia será interceptado y el escurrimiento será menor. (Rutter et al, 1971).
Para determinar la susceptibilidad que posee la cuenca del Mantaro asociada al tipo de vegetación se empleó el Mapa nacional de cobertura vegetal desarrollado por MINAM (MINAM, 2015).
